Boo, by Karen Sarnecki

Hello boys and girls, how do you do
I'm the Halloween Ghost and my name is Boo.

I'm not at all scary like you'd think I'd be
I'm really quite friendly, as you shall see.

Halloween fun is in what you wear,
and, of course, don't forget to style your hair.

It's all about giving and sharing, you see,
so how about sharing some candy with me!

Important to remember this Halloween night,
is to follow these rules with all of your might.

Please look both ways when you cross the street
and don't talk to strangers that you might meet.

And if you decide to go door to door,
visit people you know because they'll give you more!

The people you know give good things to eat
especially when you say "Trick or Treat."

Now remember while you're out with friends or family
that ghost going by just might be me!

So, to ghosts, and goblins, and everyone in-between
I'm wishing you a safe and happy Halloween!
