Have you ever wondered about the little guy versus the big guy cliche'? My grandparents lived on a farm and visiting them was such fun. They raised pigs, cattle, horses, chickens and roosters. It was always fun walking around looking at the chickens and the roosters, but one rooster was especially bad about chasing anyone that came within a few feet of him. He was notorious about running out from behind a building or tree, wings flapping and acting like the bully he was. He would, at times, chase the hens around and did not seem to have regard for anything but himself. Even cars that drove up were not immune to the tormenting rooster's attitude. Not until a little rooster named "Johnny" came on the scene. He was a small, brown Plymouth Rock rooster, weighing in at half the weight of the larger, more powerful, rooster. As I leisurely walked down the road one day enjoying the weather, I spied the larger rooster running with his wings flapping as he always did. I thought about getting out of his way, but stopped in my tracks at the sight I was about to behold. Behind the large rooster was little Johnny running with all of his might, and the amazing part was that the big, bad bully of a rooster was actually running in fear of such a small rooster. Johnny must have had enough of the bully rooster and decided to put an end to it. I laughed at the sight, and thought about how such things often happen to people. It is often not your stature, but strength within that makes a difference. I always thought afterwards of Johnny as grandma's "mighty mite."
