There once was a place that I used to go where you rented a boat to sail or row My friends would cast off and we'd spend the day in awe of nature's beauty all along the bay. We would talk, sharing our goals, journeys and strife; it always felt so fitting to have these friends in my life. We'd grown up together, these friends of mine, and it always seemed, somehow, that our lives intertwined. Oh, throughout the years, some would come and go but we'd keep in touch so our friendships continued to grow. It would sometimes be years before we'd gather again, chatting about our lives, and of the places we'd been. And as we got older sailing wasn't as easy as it once was but we'd make it through, with the grace from God above. We'd look at each other and marvel at the fact that we somehow found a way to keep journeying back. As with age, friends depart to a life greater than this and while knowing that, they are still deeply missed. I could not thank God enough nor have wished for more than the friendships and fond memories of SunnySide Shore. ~*~*~*~*~*~ SunnySide Shore © Karen Sarnecki, 2004 Disclaimer:
